Please note all Candidate’s must provide their own live accompanist. The Candidate’s instructor may act as accompanist; under no circumstances will the examiner do so (except in the Prep Test). Should the Candidate wish to hire their instructor this will be subject to an additional fee. We recommend a minimum of two sessions with the accompanist in addition to the exam. However, each pupil will progress differently, therefore additional sessions may need to be purchased.
Candidates must note that exams are normally conducted in English. A candidate who is not comfortable using English is permitted to bring an independent person (who is neither the candidate’s music instructor nor a relative) into the exam room as interpreter.
