Lesson Description

Music is a wonderful art, and singing – the gift of God. Here at IMI our vocal tutors emphasise the importance of learning good technique, which is the basis of all singing. Students are initially taught the importance of concentration and breathing (and practice!), and then how to improve their diction, their pronounciation of vowels and how best to open the mouth when singing.  Students learn music from a wide repertoire, from classical to Broadway, which can be tailored to each individual’s experience, skills and preferences. Students also have the option of taking ABRSM exams.

Once a student reaches Grade 1 or above, we advise them to consider taking music theory lessons as this will greatly enhance their understanding of music.
