Lesson Description

About our lessons

These lessons will be provided by the International Music Institute Group.

The lesson you are currently viewing is for school students who attend this school (location as stated above). The lessons will take place during the school day,">

If you are an adult, or a young person who wants to have lessons outside of school then we also have two private institutes;

International Music Institute (Located in Khalidiya - contact@imig.ae / 026211949)

Juli Music Institute (Located in Al Bandar, Raha Beach - contact_jmi@imig.ae / 025577602)

When will the lessons start?

For our external schools we will timetable the lessons before sending them to your child’s school for approval. Once approved we will then email out to you, either weekly or monthly dependent on our arrangement with the school.
If you are paying/registering after the third week of term, please ensure you contact us (see contact details above)

What happens during the lessons?

All IMIG teachers are well qualified and experienced teachers and musicians.  Each lesson is catered to the needs of each individual musician, this ensures that your child can progress at their own personal rate.

The majority of our students learn from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)   ABRSM is an internationally recognised examining body and its syllabus provide a structured way for musicians young and old to develop their understanding and abilities. The exams happen twice a year, if your child is ready to take an exam, our teacher will discuss it with the student and advise you to enter him/her for the next applicable exam.

Students learning Guitar, Vocal and Drums (ABRSM don’t provide a Drum Kit Syllabus) have the option of pursuing the Trinity College London Rock & Pop Syllabus. Like ABRSM the courses are well structured, meaning that learning takes place at a rate which aids the musicians development and understanding - whilst also retaining that essential element of enjoyment. For students wishing to enter a Rock & Pop exam, the exams happen twice a year, if your child is ready to take an exam, our teacher will discuss it with the student and advise you to enter him/her for the next applicable exam.

Lesson Requirements

Please ensure that your child attends his/her lesson with;
